Terms of Service

Effective date: [EFFECTIVE_DATE]  ·  Last updated: [EFFECTIVE_DATE]

These Terms govern your use of Aurélie — Boutique Companions ("Aurélie", "we", "us"), operated by [OPERATOR_LEGAL_NAME] (registration no. [OPERATOR_REG_NUMBER]), [OPERATOR_ADDRESS]. By creating an account or using the site you agree to these Terms, together with our Privacy Notice and Disclaimer.

1. Who may use Aurélie

You must be 18 years or older and legally able to enter into this agreement. The site contains adult-oriented content and is intended only for adults for whom it is lawful to view such content.

2. What Aurélie is

Aurélie is an advertising platform only. We are not an agency: we do not employ, represent, manage, endorse or verify advertisers, and we are not a party to any arrangement between users. See our Disclaimer for detail.

3. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity under your account. Provide accurate information and keep it up to date. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these Terms.

4. Permitted advertising and acceptable use

Listings may advertise companionship, social company and introductions. You must not use Aurélie to:

  • offer, solicit or arrange any unlawful activity, including human trafficking, coercion or the sexual exploitation of any person;
  • post content involving anyone under 18, or impersonate or post images of any person without their consent;
  • post false, misleading, fraudulent or infringing content, spam, or malware;
  • harass, threaten or abuse other users, or harvest their information;
  • attempt to disrupt, probe or circumvent the security of the site.

You confirm that any photo or information you upload is yours to use and that the people shown have consented. We do not permit listings that offer or solicit unlawful activity.

5. Content you submit

You keep ownership of the content you submit, but you grant us a licence to host, display and distribute it for the purpose of operating the service. You are solely responsible for your content and for ensuring it is lawful.

6. Moderation, reporting and takedowns

We may review, refuse, edit, hide or remove content, and suspend accounts, at our discretion — particularly to address safety, legality or breaches of these Terms. Anyone can report content via our Report & Takedown page; urgent safety reports are prioritised.

7. Fees, payments and refunds

Paid listing features are described at the point of purchase and are payable by the bank-deposit method shown, matched to your listing by reference. We do not process card payments and do not store card details. When and how we refund is set out in our Refund Policy.

8. Privacy and cross-border processing

We process personal information as described in our Privacy Notice, including transfers outside South Africa, for which we ask your consent at registration.

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The site and listings are provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude implied warranties and are not liable for advertiser-supplied information, the conduct of users, or arrangements made independently between users. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including under the Consumer Protection Act, 2008. Subject to that, our total liability to you for any claim arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us (if any) in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim. [Counsel to confirm the cap and CPA-compliant wording.]

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against claims, losses and costs arising from your content, your use of the site, or your breach of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law.

11. Suspension and termination

You may stop using Aurélie and delete your account at any time from your Privacy settings. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms or where required by law.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time; the effective date above shows the current version. Where a change is material and affects registered users, we will give notice (for example by email or an in-account notice) and will not rely on continued use alone as your acceptance of that change.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and the South African courts have jurisdiction, except where the law gives you a non-excludable right to bring proceedings elsewhere.
